Your conversations belong to you.

Shravana works without an account and keeps its core workspace on your device. We cannot see that workspace, and the app does not report how you use it. This notice explains the few times information can leave your device because you asked it to.

Effective August 31, 2026

What “private by default” means here.

1. Information kept on your device

Shravana stores your recordings, notes, memos, transcripts, summaries, settings, downloaded models, and paired-device details in the local workspace you use. Shravana does not require a Shravana account to use these features.

Calendar OAuth tokens are stored using the operating system's protected credential storage. Model-provider settings and API keys are stored locally in Shravana's settings. These credentials are used only for the connection you configured.

The Shravana team has no remote account, dashboard, or recording store from which it can view your local workspace. We see content only if you deliberately send it to us, such as in a support email.

2. Meeting detection and diagnostics

To notice calls and help you check your setup, Shravana can read local microphone activity, selected audio-device details, calendar times, and the names of calling applications or browser windows. This processing happens on your computer. Shravana does not send this activity to us.

Shravana does not turn on recording merely because a website is open. Recording follows the choices you make in Settings, and the app shows recording controls while capture is active. You can disable call detection, automatic recording, calendar access, or the companion connection at any time.

The performance panel reads Shravana's current CPU and memory use only while that Settings page is open. These readings are not saved or sent to us. The feedback tool prepares an email on your computer; optional app, performance, and recording details remain off unless you include them, and you review the message before sending it through your email app.

3. Connections you choose

Information leaves your device only when a feature needs an outside service that you chose. These connections can include:

  • Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook when you connect a calendar. Shravana requests read-only calendar access.
  • A transcription provider when you configure its API and ask it to process audio.
  • An intelligence provider when you configure its API and ask it to process transcript text.
  • A paired phone or computer when you approve a Shravana Link connection and transfer a recording directly over your local network.
  • A compatible AI app when you create a local MCP connection. You choose whether it may read notes, transcripts, and action items. Shravana does not expose audio, calendar credentials, or raw calendar events through this connection.

Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Local transcription and local intelligence do not send their input to a cloud model provider.

Shravana does not operate a hosted transcription or intelligence service. When you choose an outside model provider, the audio or text required for that specific request goes directly to the provider you configured—not to a Shravana model service.

A local MCP connection uses a private token stored by Shravana and can be revoked at any time. The AI app you connect may send the approved text to a model provider according to that app's own settings and privacy terms.

4. The Shravana website

The public website does not use advertising cookies or product analytics. Its hosting and download providers may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, requested file, timestamp, and security signals to deliver the site and prevent abuse.

When you request the invited beta, we collect the email address you enter, the release requested, the first and most recent request times, and the version of the terms you accepted. We use this information only to manage beta access and send important release or safety notices—not for advertising or unrelated marketing. The list is stored in Cloudflare D1, which acts as our website infrastructure provider.

If you email support, we receive the address, message, and files you choose to send. Shravana does not automatically upload your recordings or diagnostic history to support.

5. What Shravana does not collect

The current private beta does not include advertising trackers, remote product analytics, or automatic crash-report uploads. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We do not create a behavioral profile of how you use the app. Local performance readings and feedback details remain on your device unless you deliberately include them in an email.

6. Retention, control, and deletion

Beta-access email records are kept for no longer than 12 months after your most recent download request unless law requires a longer period. You can ask us to delete your beta-access record sooner by emailing support@shravana.app from the same address.

You can delete recordings and notes from Shravana or from the local folder that contains them. You can disconnect a calendar or model provider from Settings. You may also revoke Shravana from the provider's account-security page.

Uninstalling the application may not delete the workspace folder you selected. This protects recordings from accidental loss. Delete that folder separately if you want to remove it.

Because Shravana has no central account or recording store, we generally cannot view, export, or delete the workspace on your device for you. A calendar or model provider may retain information under its own policy.

A companion recording remains on the phone until you delete it or approve its transfer. A transferred copy follows the retention choices and storage location on the receiving computer.

7. Security and responsible recording

Shravana is designed to minimize remote data collection, but no software or storage method is completely risk-free. Protect your computer account and any folder where recordings are stored.

You are responsible for telling participants and obtaining any consent required by the laws, workplace rules, or meeting terms that apply to you.

8. International processing and your rights

Website delivery, support email, and optional providers may process information in countries other than your own. Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights concerning information a provider or Shravana actually holds. Contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children

Shravana is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly operate accounts or services intended to collect their personal information.

10. Changes to this notice

Material changes will appear on this page with a new effective date. Release notes may also point out changes that affect data handling.
