FOR MEETINGS, INTERVIEWS & STUDY SESSIONS
Finish a meeting knowing what was decided and what to do next. Shravana saves the audio on your computer, can turn speech into text, and helps you make a short summary you can check and edit.
Start with recording. Add speech-to-text and summaries with a one-time setup. No Shravana account needed.
FIELD NOTES / EXAMPLE
Keep the reading corner. Make room for the people who stay a little longer.
YOUR FIRST RECORDING
A team meeting, an interview, or a study session. Let everyone know before you record.
Allow your microphone, then start. For a call, also allow computer audio so Shravana can hear the other people.
Open the recording in Library to listen again. Set up speech-to-text to get a transcript: a written version of what was said.
Set up summaries to pull out decisions and tasks. Check the result, make edits, then keep it here or export it.
WHAT “ON YOUR DEVICE” MEANS
Your computer can do the listening and the writing. You don’t have to upload a conversation to get useful notes.
Replay it and add your own notes without an AI account. You choose where your Shravana workspace is saved.
A model is a downloaded AI file that does a particular job. Shravana can run a speech-to-text model itself. Local summaries currently need a separate helper app, Ollama or LM Studio. Once local models are downloaded and set up, processing can work without internet.
If you choose an online provider, it receives the audio or text needed for that job and may charge you. Local processing uses your computer’s memory and battery instead; speed depends on your hardware.
THE NOTE IS YOURS TO KEEP
Export the summary, transcript, your memo, or all three. Already use Obsidian? Save a note straight into its folder, called a vault. The note appears in Obsidian as an ordinary text file. No AI connection is needed.
You can also export a PDF or plain text file. Markdown is a text format that keeps headings and lists readable in many note-taking apps.

For example: “What did we agree to do before Thursday?” A compatible AI app can use the Shravana text you give it permission to read.
MCP is a connection standard that lets an AI app ask another app for information. Think of it as a controlled doorway to your notes. It is optional: recording, summaries, and Obsidian exports work without it.
In Shravana, you choose which kinds of text the connection can read, such as notes or transcripts. This is not a separate approval for each question or a per-note picker. The connection cannot edit your notes. The AI app may send that text to its own cloud service.
